My first Christmas in Germany
Here in Germany, they celebrate Christmas on the 24th. The Christ child brings the presents after you eat dinner, and sing some christmas carols. Usually, the majority of the family will distract the kids while someone puts out all the presents. It was quite fun to watch Leo! He was SO hyper from the moment we got there around 3pm till about 11pm. It was a neat experience. All though, it hit me really hard how much I miss my family! I was doing just fine till Christmas came and went without the crazyness of my family. Anywho...here are some pix of my First Christams in Germany.
trying to keep Leo occupied while we waited for the "Christ Child" to come
playing outside in the snow so the "Christ Child" can come
we were just told that the "Christ Child" came. He was SO excited, he was already up the stairs before we were in the front door.
Robin and Leo in his favorite present.....from "Robin". Robin was so excited to get him that, though Leo thinks its from the "Christ Child"
I made a new best friend. At first he wasnt quite sure what to think. But by the end of the night, he wouldnt leave my side. I got LOTS of hugs, a few kisses (on the cheek), lots of cuddles..... Robin was getting a little jealous.... ;-)
